Station 2 - Which Way Wind?
Station 3 - High and Low Pressure
1. Your hand is moving to the right.
2. it is going farther down.
3. Your hand is moving to the left.
4. It is coming to the top.
5. You need high pressure to screw the screw into the wood and you turn your hand and the screw to the right which tightens the screw. You need low pressure to loosen the screw and you turn your hand to the left. So high pressure is kind of pressing to the ground and low pressure rises off the ground.
Analysis
This experience has taught us how high pressure and low pressure works and how the winds turn clockwise and counterclockwise. High pressure was used when the screw was tighten and there was low pressure when the screw was loosened.
Station 4
1. The screwdriver and the screw are both turning clockwise.
2. The screw is slowly going deeper and deeper into the board with every turn of the screwdriver.
3. The screwdriver and the screw are both turning counter - clockwise.
4. The screw is slowly being screwed out by the screwdriver so it is rising from the board.
5. To tighten the screw turn clockwise and to the loosen the screw you have turn counter - clockwise. Apply slight pressure when tightening the screw and when loosening the screw pull slightly.
Analysis: The screw was screwing into the board in a clockwise direction, as high pressure presses onto the surface of the earth. When the screw was loosening out of the board in counter-clockwise direction, it represented a low pressure because the screw was rising out of the board sort of, like low pressure rises.
